Memorial Day Weekend

Yes, I know we're about to have July 4th Weekend, but our Memorial Day weekend was so much fun, it had to be blogged about (even it is almost a month late). First, our niece, Kate, celebrated her second birthday on Saturday with a Birthday Luau. Uncle Howard was in town and we got to enjoy family time and lots of birthday cake. The kiddos enjoyed the big waterslide and I have to admit, I enjoyed it myself!

We just love this little girl!!

I absolutely love this picture!

On Sunday, Claire had her dance recital for Boni's School of Dance. Her dance this year was "The Good Ship Lollipop" and boy did she rock those Shirley Temple curls and the taps shoes! We were so proud of how well she did with her first tap dance. Claire sure is the "performer" of the family! I still tell Jill we'll see her on a reality competition one day...I'm thinking "X Factor". I've always wanted to meet Simon Cowell :-)

Welcome to FIN-LAND!!

Well here I go again...behind on my blogging. Please excuse the mass brain dump in my next few posts. A few weeks back, not only did we survive the pending end of the world, we did our annual Smith/ Holloway meet up at the Jimmy Buffett concert in Frisco. As usual, we had a great time hanging out with the family and enjoying some great music (you can't go wrong with Mr. Buffett).

These were our tailgating neighbors. How awesome is this refurbished "boat bar"!!
