Today is day #1 of the Fabulous Fall Blog Challenge and we're looking at Fall Traditions. So without further ado, here are my favorite fall traditions:

Aggie Football, of course! Whether it's from the bleachers at Kyle Field, or the comfort of my couch, nothing beats watching the 12th Man!

Fall Family Pictures...I love getting dressed up with the whole family and taking our annual family picture. This is last year's!

Shopping!! And especially the Houston Ballet Nutcracker Market!! I was introduced to this last year and have committed to it becoming a fall tradition. What better way to get into the holiday spirit!!

Fall Decor--Put mine up yesterday!

Flannel Pajama Pants--Yes, I love em' and can't wait for it to be cool enough to wear them!

What are your Fall Traditions? I would love to hear how you and your familty welcome in the cooler weather and holiday times!

Boob Tube Babble

Boob Tube Babble

Happy Friday, Y'all! Today I'm linking back up with Neely at A Complete Waste of Makeup
and Ashley at Ashley's Carnival Ride for "Boob Tube Babble".

For those of you that know me personally, you know I love me some t.v...the trashier the better. This is my favorite time of year as my summer guilty pleasures are coming to an end and we await where we left off on our favorites and are hopeful about the new crop of shows. So, let's start off with a couple of finales this week...

Yes, I know this show is ri-dic, but I can't help but get wrapped up in the fake "reality" of it all. My lovely DVR managed to cut off the end, but thanks to the internet, I quickly learned who dear Stagliano and Holly. Okay, and how about Holly already being engaged to Blake the Snake? Haven't they known each other for about 15 minutes? Poor Stagliano...had to watch his ex-fiance "fall in love" with another guy. And let me tell you...I'm completely over (or was never into) the Vienna, Kasey, Jake love triangle. Those three have to be the most annoying people on the face of the Bachelor planet. They make Erica Rose look pretty normal. Check out Lincee's blog for a better recap. I can't do it justice like she does!

I have to say, "Big Brother" is what gets me through the summer. Since television is more than lacking during these dog days, the fact that this show comes on 3 nights a week doesn't bother me at all (wish I could say the same thing about "American Idol" and "DWTS"). I look forward to sitting down with my glass of wine every Thursday to see Julie Chen's smiling face and to hear which of my beloved got "evicted". This season, not only did CBS bring in a new cast of characters, they also brought back some All-stars. Of course I could not have been happier to see Jeff & Jordan back in the house, but I almost vomited when I saw Rachel & Brenden come barreling through the door. BUT, to my surprise, Rachel wasn't nearly as annoying once Brenden left the house. And I have to reluctantly say that she played a GREAT game and deserved every penny of the grand prize! And kudos to Jeff for being "America's Favorite Houseguest"!

Now on to my fall tv line up...

I love Rachel Bilson and I've missed her ever since the "OC" went off the air. And being that this takes place in the south, I'm sure to enjoy it (or be super annoyed by the fake accents).

I'm rather intrigued by this show. Even though Christina Ricci is the only actress in it that I know, I'm excited to see the portrayal of flight attendants during the 60's. From the previews, I'm already in L-O-V-E with the costumes and am looking for a Halloween party to attend so that I can be a Pan Am flight attendant for Halloween!

Simon Cowell is a reality tv genius and I cannot wait to see what he has up his sleeve on the "X Factor". And I'm even more excited to see his train wreck of a co-judge, Paula Abdul, on the small screen again! Woo Hoo!

A couple other I might give a try..."Up All Night" (Christina Applegate), "Suburgatory", "Revenge", and "Smash" (Kathrine McPhee & Debra Messing). As you can tell, my DVR is about to be on overload. Good thing I have a tv in front of my elliptical machine!

Birthday Weekend (Part II)

After Claire's party, Greg headed out to play a birthday round of golf with his brother and stepfather. Little did he know, I had a plan in motion... With the help of his mom, I got the house all ready for a surprise party with all of his friends. Not sure how I kept the secret, but he was beyond surprised!

After a quick shower for the guest of honor, the party got started! Everyone enjoyed fajitas & margaritas and of course, college football on the tv. Thank you to all of our friends and family for coming to celebrate Greg's BIG 3-0!

Birthday Weekend (Part I)

Our weekend was full of birthday celebrations and parties. We started on on Saturday by celebrating our niece, Claire's, 5th birthday. This year, she wanted a "Rainbow" party and her mom went all out on the theme. The girls had fun decorating cookies, making flip flops and eating lots of rainbow birthday cake. Claire enjoyed the party and got lots of fun gifts from her friends and family.

Happy Birthday Claire Bear!!

Five years ago this morning, my world was made a little brighter and a lot happier! Five years ago this morning, I became an Aunt for the first time when my niece, Claire, came into the world.

Claire, you mean the world to me & your Uncle Greg. We have loved watching you grow and become a beautiful young lady. You are so smart and such a good big sister. Kate looks up to your every move. I am amazed at how mature you have become at your young age.

I look forward to many happy memories with you as you grow up. Uncle Greg & I love you so much and you'll always be our Little Claire Bear! Happy Birthday, Sweet Girl!

It's Ok...

Its Ok Thursdays

Today, I'm linking up with Neely at A Complete Waste of Makeup. I've been following Neely for some time now and love the concept of "It's Ok Thursday". So here it inaugural "It's Ok Thursday".

IT'S OK...

That I feel like a chicken with my head cut off when trying to fit 5 days of work into a 4 day work week.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow night because there's a new episode of Dateline on.

That I want to give up all sodas, but am scared to death of a morning without Diet Coke.

To stay up past your bedtime catching up on "Dance Moms".

To spend your lunch break (and then some) reading other people's blogs.

That I just found candy wrappers in my pants pocket from the last wear.

To pray for buckets and buckets of rain in Texas to relieve us of drought and help put out the fires!

Hope everyone enjoys your Thursday as we scoot into the WEEKEND!!
