Rollin' on a River

So, let's just say I am now an expert pregnant Bachelorette Party attender/ Designated Driver :-)  This past weekend, we celebrated Bachelorette Party #2 for my future sister-in-law, Laura!  A group of nine of us gathered in New Braunfels, Texas to enjoy girl time, a float down the river, and some great music.

My friend, Kristina, and I got there early on Friday to get the condo decorated up for the celebration!  As you can tell, I'm really enjoying my new Silhouette Cameo!  I cut out all sorts of letters for the decor!  Kristina brought the cutest panty and bra cookies that she had made in Houston!  I made etched wine glasses with all the girls' initials as well as water bottles to take on the river.

Saturday, we got up and after enjoying breakfast, headed to the Guadelupe River.  The sun was nice and hot and the water was oh so cold!

When we finally got off the river, we went to return our tubes and happened to see country music singer, Gary Allan! We had tickets to his show later that night, but he happened to be getting ready to tube down the river before his show. He was so nice and took a picture with the Bachelorette party.

Later that night, we all got "dolled" up for a night out.  We first hit up Gruene River Grill in Gruene, Tx for dinner and then headed out to Whitewater Ampitheater for the Gary Allan concert.  (If you have never been to Gruene, I suggest you make a detour there some time.  It's the coolest little town with so much Texas charm.)  And that is when lightning struck, literally!  When we left the restaurant, and there was a major lightning storm going on.  Unfortunately, by the time we made it to the concert, the bottom fell out.  The rain was coming down so hard, we could barely see the road in front of us.  So, after a quick meeting of the minds at the local gas station, we decided to forgo the concert and find a local watering hole.  We headed to Tavern on the Gruene and enjoyed some live music there.  We were all sad to not see our friend, Gary Allan, but I think with the storm like it was, it was by far the best decision for us.  And we all ended up having a great time at Tavern!

Sounds like a great weekend and you're on a roll with your crafts; very impressive! We went down the river a couple weekends ago and it was so relaxing! Love Greune!
