Easter and a Road Trip

This year, we ventured out on our first kiddo roadtrip to stay with CiCi and Grandpa for Easter.  Rhett did great and we had a busy, fun-filled weekend!

We started off Friday by meeting Greg's dad for lunch.  Rhett enjoyed meeting his Paw Paw Michael for the first time.  Paw Paw even spoiled him with a cool new tricked-out tricycle!  Rhett can't wait to be big enough to ride it around the cul-de-sac!

Later that night, we got together with some of Greg's extended family for fun and fajitas!  Rhett met his cousin Megan for the first time, as well as his cousins Melanie & Jimmy, and his Aunt Sherry and Uncle Mark.  Megan is just a few months older than Rhett and the two of them were so cute together.  I can't get over the look on Rhett's face in the picture!

"You got me, Megan?

Definitely Grandpa's Sidekick!

Saturday, we headed to Greg's grandparents' house.  They were so excited to meet their first Great GrandSON!  They have 4 Great Granddaughters and another one on the way, so Rhett is surrounded by little girls.  He is also their namesake because his middle name is their last name.

This picture was an Instagram, but it is by far one of my favorite pictures of Rhett so far in his short little life.  I just LOVE how it shows off his facial features!  I love my little Bunny Man!

Sunday morning, the Easter Bunny made a special visit to CiCi & Grandpa's.  He brought Rhett teether keys, a "Who Loves Baby" soft book, "The Story of Easter" board book, a bunny sock monkey, a new polo shirt & shorts, and board shorts!  I'm pretty sure Mr. Rhett was well taken care of!  Then it was off to Easter morning church service.  Rhett did great at church and looked awfully cute in his church gear.

I promise he was more excited about his Easter presents than his face leads on

We had a great time over the Easter weekend celebrating family and letting Rhett meet everyone!  He is so blessed to have so many people who love him!

Finally, I will leave you with Rhett's first "official" Easter Bunny picture.  He may have slept through it, but it doesn't get much cuter than this!

If we could talk to the Animals...

This past Thursday, my college roommate, Megan, and her kids were in town from South Carolina.  She had not seen me since our babymoon, so we knew we had to get together so they could meet Rhett and we could get some visiting in.  So, we decided to take advantage of the awesome spring weather and meet at the zoo.  Although Rhett really can't appreciate the animals quite yet, he enjoyed riding around and being outside.

After the zoo, we ventured over to the park for a picnic lunch and fed the ducks.

As always, it was great to catch up with Megan and see how her kids have grown.  I love her so so much and miss her every day!  I definitely wish we lived closer to each other!
